A complete blood count is a blood test that gives information about the different cells that make up blood. The CBC test helps doctors diagnose, monitor, and screen for a wide variety of diseases, conditions, disorders, and infections.

IT is a test that is performed to screen for a number of disorders that can affect overall health. The test helps determine if the blood cell counts are within the normal range or if there is an increase or decrease in any. It can help in the detection of a wide range of illnesses, including anaemia, infections, and even cancer. The CBC measures several components of the blood, including the red blood cells (RBC), which carry oxygen; white blood cells (WBC), which fight infection; haemoglobin (Hb), the oxygen-carrying protein in red blood cells; haematocrit, which is the proportion of red blood cells to the fluid component, or plasma, in the blood; and platelets, which aid in blood clotting.
